About The Opportunity Securecorp is excited to announce an excellent opportunity for Control Room Operators to join our team within the Education Sector, based in Hawthorn. We are seeking candidates with extensive Control Room experience, whether in a similar environment or a related setting. Roles Available Full-time – 12-hour rotating roster Casual – must be available for both day and night shifts Duties And Responsibilities As part of our team, your duties and responsibility include but not limited to: Monitoring security systems such as CCTV, alarms, access control, and intercoms Responding to alarms and incidents by following procedures and coordinating the appropriate response Dispatching security officers and liaising with emergency services when required Maintaining accurate records including incident reports, logs, and shift handover notes Controlling site access, issuing passes, and monitoring entries and exits (where applicable) Communicating clearly and professionally with staff, contractors, students, and visitors Identifying and escalating risks or suspicious activity promptly Following site-specific procedures and compliance requirements Providing support to on-site security staff and management Key Selection Criteria We’re Looking For Candidates Who Hold a current Security License and valid First Aid & CPR certification Have proven experience in the security industry & in the control room environment MUST have the Control Room Endorsement on Security License Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Can work collaboratively in a team or independently Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, is essential.
